About Us

roboVITics is one of the largest and most active technical clubs at VIT Vellore, dedicated to robotics, automation, and innovation. It provides a platform for students to design and build robots, from simple hobby projects to advanced autonomous systems. The club was proudly honored with the Elite Club Award 2024 for its excellence and contributions.

It brings together innovation and creativity through events like Robowars, hackathons, workshops, and expert talks, offering students a global platform to showcase skills, explore emerging technologies, and celebrate engineering excellence.

Robowars

ROBOWARS is the flagship event of graVITas and one of the biggest combat robotics events in India. More than 40 bots engage in thrilling, round-the-clock battles in the largest and safest arena in the country, competing for the championship title with their war machines. It delivers an adrenaline rush to both participants and the audience. Teams from all over the globe gather here to showcase their fighting spirit and strive for glory.

FAQs

iconWhen and where is Robowars happening?
Robowars will be happening during Gravitas and will be from 26th Sep to 28th Sep 2025 at VIT Vellore. Stay tuned for the timings!
iconWho is eligible to participate?
If you’re a part of a team that builds bots and bots follow our regulations.
iconHow long is the event?
It happens for 4 hours throughout the day for up to 3 days!
iconWhat are the bot specifications?
Bots must comply with the weight and weapon regulations mentioned in the official rulebook.
iconCan we bring multiple bots under one team?
Yes! A team can bring multiple bots, including 8kg, 15kg, and 60kg categories, as long as they comply with the event rules.
iconWhat is the maximum and minimum bot weight allowed?
The minimum bot weight category is 8kg and the maximum allowed category is 60kg. Ensure your bot falls within these limits.
iconWhat are the rules and regulations?
